How OAKHAM happened?
Life has a funny way of turning lemons into lemonade. Like many, COVID threw us a curveball – less commuting, more “home, sweet home.” But instead of staring at sourdough starters, we saw an opportunity. An opportunity to finally unleash our passion for fashion and create something beautiful: Oakham Premium Clothing Line.
Oakham isn’t just a brand; it’s a story – ours. My wife, an accounting whiz with a hidden fashionista, and I, a dreamer with a knack for design, found ourselves with unexpected time. Time to learn, explore, and pour our hearts into each stitch and seam. We took online courses, devoured design blogs, and spent countless hours in our living room studio, fueled by late-night brainstorming and cups of coffee (stronger as the deadlines approached!).
Story behind Bong Street
After spending almost 4 years in to clothing business and after studying the market, we understood that we need to sound more local to be able to penetrate the market in a better way!
So we came up with an idea with create a sub-brand called "Bong Street" under the umbrella of "Oakham Premium Clothing Line". So we went back to the drawing board to let the magic happen!
