জন্মেছিস যখন, একটা দাগ রেখে যা – Swami Vivekananda Bengali Framed Poster (A3 & A4)
You were born. That part was not a choice.
What you do with it — that is the only question that matters.
জন্মেছিস যখন, একটা দাগ রেখে যা. Since you have been born — leave a mark. Not a request. Not a suggestion. A challenge, thrown down by the one man in Bengal’s history who lived this principle so completely that the mark he left is still visible a hundred and thirty years later.
Swami Vivekananda did not tell people to be comfortable. He told them to be consequential. This poster carries that instruction — dark, direct, impossible to ignore — and puts it on your wall where you will see it every single morning.
Exclusively designed by Bong Street and available as a premium framed wall art piece in A3 and A4 sizes — part of our Bengali framed poster collection.
The Design
Where our first Vivekananda poster — শক্তিই জীবন, দুর্বলতাই মৃত্যু — carries a vintage warmth, this one is cinematic, intense, and modern. Two completely different aesthetic interpretations of the same extraordinary man.
The background is a deep, rich navy-black that fades into a dramatic fiery orange and amber sunset sky — stormy, electric, the kind of sky that feels like something is about to begin. The darkness is deliberate. The fire at the horizon is deliberate. This is the visual language of ambition.
Swami Vivekananda stands in the foreground — arms crossed, saffron turban, full presence — rendered in vivid photorealistic detail against the blazing backdrop. His attribution, Swami Vivekananda, is set in small clean text at the base of the quote, the only quiet element in a composition that is otherwise completely unrestrained.
The typography is the centrepiece — split across two registers:
জন্মেছিস যখন — in bold white, large, the setup — since you were born
একটা দাগ রেখে যা — in blazing red, even larger, the command — leave a mark
The sizing of “দাগ” — the mark itself — is the biggest word on the poster. That is not an accident. The word you are meant to carry with you is the one that has been made impossible to miss.

The Thought Behind the Quote
Every person who has ever lived has wondered, at some point, whether their life will amount to something. Whether they will be remembered. Whether anything they did will outlast them.
Vivekananda did not consider this a philosophical question. He considered it a practical one. The answer, to him, was simple: you were given a life — now do something with it that the world will feel.
একটা দাগ রেখে যা — leave a mark. Not a monument. Not a legacy built for applause. Just a mark. The proof that you were here, that you chose something, that you moved in a direction with intention and did not simply pass through.
The Bengali word দাগ is interesting — it means mark, stain, impression. It is not always a glorious word. A দাগ can be a scar. It can be a bruise. It can be the mark left by something that cost something. Vivekananda chose it deliberately. He was not asking you to leave a pretty trace. He was asking you to leave a real one.
Hang this where you work. Let it ask you the question every day. And let your answer be in what you do — not what you say.
